KickStart Reading and Numeracy Workshop

The Atlantic Seaboard Dyslexia Education Center (ASDEC) is pleased to present the  KickStart Reading and Numeracy Program, developed by Mona Iyer, AMS, CALT, CDT.  Ms. Iyer is an early childhood reading specialist with over 25 years teaching highly successful strategies for reading, writing, handwriting, spelling and math.

KickStart integrates foundational Orton-Gillingham instructional methods with highly effective Montessori strategies for multi-sensory learning.  The objective of this program is to provide a strong foundation in reading, writing, comprehension and numeracy to young learners and provide a path for continued enhancement of learning skills by leveraging  pathways for students with different learning abilities.  Using evidence-based screeners, teachers will learn how to group students according to their learning needs.  

Workshop Dates: June 24-26, 2024 from 9:30-3:30

Location: Linton Hall School, 9535 Linton Hall Road, Bristow, VA

Cost $500 before May 1 and $600 after May 1, 2024
